Unseen Veins book cover design
For Unseen Veins, a poignant collection of poetry by Natasha Devalia, I was tasked with creating a cover that encapsulates the intricate and deeply personal themes of identity, heritage, and belonging explored in the collection. The design needed to visually represent the complexity of navigating cultural labels and the freedom to choose one’s own path.
The cover features a delicate balance of subtle textures and organic elements, inspired by veins as metaphors for connection and inheritance. By blending soft, muted colours with layered illustrations, I aimed to evoke the emotional depth and vulnerability that defines the collection.
